Free bus rides for all
To encourage the residents of Tartu to choose environmentally friendly modes of transportation and thereby contribute to creating a cleaner and healthier urban environment, bus rides on Tartu city buses will be free during the Mobility Week. The right for free rides applies to all passengers during the week, and tickets do not need to be validated during this period. If you still happen to validate your card, nothing will be taken off from it.

Bike Ride and Film Art on Tartu Streets
On this special bike tour, Tartu’s streets and building walls will turn into a living animated film. Roland Seer´s moving images will bring playfulness, music, and fantasy worlds to the city, appearing as if they emerge directly from the street corners.

Roland Seer is best known for his animation work. He teaches at Tartu Art School and heads Tartu Animation Film. His works have been recognized at the Venice Film Festival, the European Film Academy, and the Zagreb and Annecy animation festivals.

Twilight Walk “Tartu Nightlife”
Enjoy a walking tour through the paths of Tartu’s nightlife. Along the way, you will hear stories of the places that have brought together entertainment, music, and nightly adventures for generations of Tartu residents.

This is not a typical city tour, but a chance to experience Tartu at twilight and into the night, when the city’s stories sound very different.

Juhan Kari is an enthusiast of Tartu nightlife and a cultural organizer.

Car-Free Day and DJ Breleri
European Mobility Week traditionally concludes with Car-Free Day, encouraging everyone to leave the car at home and instead travel on foot, by public transport, or by bike.
The evening’s headliner is DJ Breleri, whose music brings together both drivers and cyclists – because good music unites everyone. Breleri promises to play only songs you already know by heart.
In addition, you can test your knowledge in a quiz, try an obstacle course to experience the city as a stroller user, wheelchair user, pedestrian, or scooter rider, and explore the bike demo area. The South Estonian Association of the Blind will share insights into mobility for people with limited vision. Performance artist Anumai Raska will present an action that invites us to see Tartu’s urban space with fresh eyes and experience it through new forms of movement.
