Activities within the week Activities within the week

Halmstad organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Fifty percent of our citys emissions of carbon dioxide comes from car traffic. The city is working with several programs for reducing traffic in the city centre and making more people to walk, cycle or travel by bus. During the European mobility week we will invite people do discuss these plans, inspire behavioural change and show the alternatives, for example:

Handsome, smart and rich
What will happen if you go to town without your car more often. A kind of exhibition that stimulates discussion on these matters. (a representative from MM-office will be available for discussion)

MM in city planning
In connection with the mobility week there will be a seminar for the local politicians on Mobility Management in city planning.

Strengthening smart behaviour
Nice surpises for those already traveling by bus. (we always work on those who doesn't.)

Health cyclists
During two years the city has managed a health cyclist project. Participants in this project will take part during the mobility week and tell about their experiences.
