Agios Dimitrios organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2023, taking into account the annual theme.
16 September
-Morning “Asphalt art” project outside schools by students .
"Asphalt art" is a special type of street art that is created on roads or pedestrian space . Its purpose is to attract the attention of drivers, to improve street and pedestrian safety especially cyclists and people with reduced mobility (students, the elderly, the disabled, parents with young children )by encouraging the reduction of speed .
-Afternoon activities at the new inclusive municipal Family Park which turns into a place of play, creativity, cycling and interaction.
17 September
Sunday morning cycling tour which will follow a route to the municipal Mobility Education park where there will be a long stop for a picnic, games and bike tricks.
20 September
Special Basketball, Boccia demonstration for the disabled kids and a public discussion focusing on
- sustainable mobility and accessibility projects concerning specific streets that are currently being implemented in the Municipality
- the presentation of some planned projects and their benefits concerning sustainable mobility, environmental and social aspects.
21 September
“Outta Climate Festival” campaign launched by CIVINET Greece-Cyprus with the support and co-financing of the Green Fund which tries to link the climate crisis with road safety, vulnerable social groups and culture, using asphalt art, as well as other forms of art.

2. Afternoon cultural programme which will include student bands, as well as high quality performances for adults by the Jazz Solidarity Network artists.
