Liepaja city municipality administration is carrying out the action “Bike to work”, encouraging residents to try out and change their daily mobility routine towards a more environmentally- friendly and healthy way, i.e, to travel by bicycle. In the morning rush hour on one of the most centric city squares cyclists are offered free local fruits, as well as a free bicycle amendment service is provided for all cyclists.

A panel discussion with different experts of mobility issues, cycling infrastructure and culture is organized to give the opportunity to residents to express their commitment to cycling.

Liepaja city municipality administration is carrying out the action “Car-Free Day”. A mass cycle ride is organized through the city centre to a recently opened wartime tourism object “Redāns”. At the destination participants can enjoy a delicious soup, take part in various entertaining activities and take a guided tour through the former military dungeons of “Redāns”.
