Velofest
On Car-Free Sunday, cyclists rule in Lommel! So hop on your trusty two-wheeler and head to Hertog Janplein for the fifth edition of our cycling celebration.

The BMX daredevils from Get Insane are returning to Lommel with their spectacular show. You’ll be amazed at what they can do on two wheels! They reached the finals of Belgium’s Got Talent in 2018 for a reason.

This time, they’re also bringing an entire Urban Experience with them. You and your kids can go all out on the skatepark, climbing wall, or the boulder airbag with a free fall! Or how about trying the freerunning setup or the pump track?

But that’s not all — you can even challenge someone to go completely upside down on a bike! Impossible? Not at all — with strength and determination, anyone can do it. Who wouldn’t want to complete a 7-meter-high bike loop? Thrills and excitement guaranteed!

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, there will be 40 wacky bikes and fun workshops to enjoy. Of course, local bike dealers will be on hand to provide information about different types of bicycles. And at 3 p.m., you can bid on an abandoned bike during our auction. This year too, you can register your bike (formerly known as labeling).

Kick-off High Five project
High-Five is an innovative project designed to encourage children to travel to school safely and actively — by walking or cycling. Using a playful game system and a rewarding mechanism, the project motivates kids to choose sustainable transport while making it fun and engaging. On the kick-off day, the high-five mascotte visits all participating schools to introduce the project. Children can dance and get to know the project...

How does high-five work?
Children earn digital coins by walking or biking to school. They collect these coins by tapping their personal High-Five token at a special High-Five pole installed along their route.

Rewards
The coins can be exchanged for various rewards, adding extra motivation for children to keep participating and stay active.

Online Portal
Through the online High-Five portal, children and parents can track their progress, view the number of coins earned, and discover available rewards. More information is available at ikhighfive.be.
