Żary organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2019, taking into account the annual theme.

Żarska Straż Miejska ustawiła w centrum miasta namiot z gadżetami odblaskowymi przeznaczonymi dla mieszkańców, którzy w tym dniu pozostawili swoje samochody i wybrali środek alternatywny . Mieszkańcy chętnie rozmawiali z funkcjonariuszami o negatywnym wpływie na środowisko naturalne spalin samochodowych jak również pyłku ze ścierających się bieżników oponach. Wyrażali też pozytywny aspekt dla zdrowia , kondycji i samopoczucia pozostawiając swojego samochodu. Wszyscy oni w tym dniu korzystali z rowerów, komunikacji publicznej oraz pieszo. W akcji tradycyjnie uczestniczyli najmłodsi mieszkańcy. którzy maszerując ulicami miasta wręczali mieszkańcom gadżety z dołączonym hasłem "Na spacerek, na rowerek"
