Huesca organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2013, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Huesca City Hall will organize a wide program about the city mobility plan. In this way different actions about the execution of the plan will be started: New pedestrian areas, new public transportation network, bicycle lane, Street renewal Jobs and awareness actions.

• New public transportation network, with better bus Schedule and more bus stops. Last generation and accessible environmentally friendly buses.
• New pedestrian areas in downtown area with car plates camera based control systems.
• New blue area definition.
• New parking (San Antonio) opening. 288 parking places.
• Renewal jobs on different streets in the city to make them fully accessible: Sancho Abarca, Plaza Universidad, San Bernardo area, Bernguer, Gil Cávez, Isuela Bridge roundabout. Also renewal jobs are being done in Zarandia, Desengaño, Peligros and Petronila-Palacio. In October jobs will start in the Coso first stage.
• Bicycle lanes: Ramon y Cajal, Parque, Pirineos avenue, Gil Cávez and Tarbes.
• New mobility office for information and formalities.
• Accessibility improvement jobs in streets and public buildings. Accessible bathrooms, reduced sidewalks…

Huesca carries out a Car-free day 2013 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
