Road Safety Day
Youths and Students together with NGOs and residents of Hal Qormi will be invited to attend for a Road Safety Demonstration. We will be joining forces with Transport Malta, the Police Force and LESA who will demonstrate those present how to use the road safely. A mascot from Transport Malta Tammy will guide those present during the practical session.

Active Mobility
There will be a bicycle and walking route around the town of Qormi which the Council will organise for all those interested to participate in this Active Mobility event. In preparation we have requested the NGOs to research information about historical areas, which will be set as stops during the route. This event will also be organised with the assistance of Transport Malta Officials. The roads of the route will be car free for the afternoon of the event.

We are now in discussion with residents to implement car free zones on Sundays for more open spaces for children and adults

Hal Qormi carries out a Car-free day and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
