Sölvesborg organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
We will have different activities during the week. Mostly in the center of town. We will show electric cars, offer test rides on electrical bikes, give information about coming bike path projects.

The buss and train company Blekingetrafiken will give information about good transportation and maybe give och tickets for test rides with the train.

We will show a solar powered bicycle pump and install at least one permanent public bicycle air pump.

A new bicycle path trough the town from the beach, all the way to the industrial area in the east of town, connecting to other new bike paths to the other beaces and to the golf coarse.

We are also building a new bicycle bridge, maybe the longest in Europe, connecting the center of Sölvesborg to the new area Ljungaviken www.ljungaviken.se The King and Queen of Sweden will visit the bridge project in september 13.

Car-free day Car-free day

Sölvesborg carries out a Car-free day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
