The municipality of Cosenza during the last year has implemented several permanent measures, which contribute to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport, as follows: new cycle lane and promotion of bike sharing, promotion of "sweet mobility" for tourist and citizens like carriages, wider pavements, new bus lane and enhancement of public transport in the city (mini hub stop for city logistic) and parking plane.
Car-free day
Cosenza carries out a Car-free day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
