Welcome to Stora Torget on September 19, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
We’re offering coffee and snacks between 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
Try out different types of bikes, such as cargo bikes, electric scooters, and more, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Some bikes will be available for testing from 12:00 PM.
Stop by our dialogue stations and talk about sustainable travel - Meet representatives from Mälarenergi, Svealandstrafiken, VL, Mälardalstrafiken, Europa Direkt, the Energy and Climate Advisory Service, the Traffic and Permit Unit, the Street and Park Unit, the Urban Development Unit, and the Research and School Development Unit.

Welcome to Fiskartorget on September 19, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Fritidsbanken offers free same-day rentals of bikes for different ages, inline skates, scooters, and helmets.
There will also be a cycling play area for all ages (weather permitting). Feel free to bring your own bike and helmet. We have three sets available to borrow for children aged 3–8.

Car free day
Welcome to Fiskartorget from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Fritidsbanken offers free same-day rentals of bikes for different ages, inline skates, scooters, helmets, and other fun gear between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
Take part in their competition and win a prize!
Cycling play area for all ages from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (weather permitting). Feel free to bring your own bike and helmet. We have three sets available for children aged 3–8.
Free bike service from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM — first come, first served.
Morning cheer for sustainable commuters starting at 8:00 AM – We’ll be handing out breakfast bags and reflectors at Vasaparken, across from the Central Station.

Day 2 – Let the Wheels Roll
Cycle or roll at least 5 kilometers.

Day 3 – Step It Up
Take at least 10,000 steps during the day.

Day 4 – Show What You’re Made Of
Try as many sustainable ways of getting around as you can in one day.

Day 5 – Experience the Culture
During Kulturnatten in Västerås, bus travel with VL is free within Västerås Municipality. Welcome aboard!

Day 6 – Go on a "walk" date!
Take a friendly or romantic walk with someone you care about.

Day 7 – Go Car-Free
Replace all unnecessary car trips with sustainable travel options on Car Free Day. Choose a sustainable alternative like walking, cycling, public transport, or carpooling.
