Kyiv organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Conference on sustainable urban planning is scheduled on September 21. The event will focus on learning and sharing experience with the cities of Munich and Prague in terms of planning for more sustainable transportation modes. The conference is hosted by the city administration.

One square in the city center where all the sidewalks are currently full of parked cars will be made available to satisfy needs of numerous pedestrians in this area. The car access to the sidewalks will be blocked by the bollards and enforced control by the traffic police.

Kyiv carries out a Car-free day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
