- Implementation of major infrastructure projects (rehabilitation of roads, tram tracks, traffic lights, bridges, domestic sewerage (under IFI (EBRD and IBRD loans)and EU funded projects;
- Loan Agreement signed with The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the “Arad Urban Transport Project” Phase III – acquisition of new trams, modernisation of the main depot infrastructure and introducing of an e-ticketing system for the local transport;
- Implementation of 6 EU funded infrastructure projects under the Operational Regional Plan;
- Participation to the IEE Project “An inclusive peer-to-peer approach to involve EU CONURBations and wide urban (CONURBANT)” – 2011 – 2014;
- Implementation of HURO Project „Common development of bicycle routes in Arad and Gyula”(May 2012 – April 2013);
- Implementation of project “Improvement of the Environment” included in the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Programme to reduce disparities within the enlarged European Union:
- Sustainable Energy Action Plan completed and approved by the Local Council of Arad Municipality – including measures related to local transport and mobility;
- Thermal rehabilitation of blocks of flats from the local budget,
- Rehabilitation of thermal distribution network from the local budget,
- Public lightning improvement,

Car-free day Car-free day

Arad carries out a Car-Free Day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
