Ivano-Frankivsk organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2013, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
City joins the EMW initiative by organizing four events:
16 September - Exhibition in local art gallery Bastion "From Life of Bike Community. Weekdays. Trips. Rides'
19 September - city bike tour (excursion) "Evening Ivano-Frankivsk" for all lovers of bike life
21 September - bike ride in the city aiming to showcase importance of urban mobility
22 September - cross country competition "Stanyslav Cross-country"
In the down town there is an area called Sotka. It is a 100% walkable area with no traffic at all. Only early morning and late evening delivery is allowed there. The intention of city administration is to transform into walkable the part of Shevchenko St. that leeds to the local city park, where this year the first bike route has been opened

Ivano-Frankivsk implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

The city authority together with Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Cycling fedaration permanently increases the number of parking space for bike community. Currently there are about 20 parking areas in the downtown only, including official and state institutions.
The shop ownwers and those of cafe and supermarkets are also encouraged by the city to install parking racks on their territory.
