Mosfellsbær organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2018, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Bicycling tour in town in celebration of start of EMW and combined with The Day of Icelandic Nature.
17 September
Dr. Bike sets up a repair garage at the main square to assist residence in repairing their bikes.
18 September
BMX-Program for children at main square with BMX bicycle experts showing tricks on their bikes.
Implementation of a world cup pump bicycle track put up on the main square, for BMX and skateboard enthusiasts.
19 September
Inauguration of a new bicycle repair stations with repair stands and water drinking fountains at three locations in town.
20 September
Bicycle maps distributed to all swimming pools and sporting facilities, and put on the the town´s website to encourage local residents to take advantage of a wide range of biking trails in town.
A map showing the 15-minute walking radius and 6 cycling radius from the town center introduced to encourage people to walk or bicycle locally.
21 September
Bicycle conference – Bicycling for the future 2018.
A whole day conference on sustainable transportation and bicycling,held in cooperation with municipalities in the metropolitan area and regional bicycle organizations.

Car free day. Free bus transfers for all residents with incentives to leave their car at home n the day
