Funchal organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2018, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Exhibition of less pollutant vehicles, comprised of 100% electric vehicles, hybrid and bicycles;
Mobi Open Day, in which an avenue was shut down to accomodate a vast array of activities (cycling, running, skating, basketball, inclusive games, swordplay, zumba, outdoor gym, urban climbing);
Judo and taekwondo.

Activities with children;
Implementation of kiss and ride (permanent measure);
Artistic fencing;
Zumba class.
18 September
Activation of the real time traffic monitoring system;
Pedestrian campaigns;
Lecture at driving school to foster sustainable mobility

Implementation of smart cross in a crosswalk (permanent measure);

Funchal carries out a Car-Free Day 2018 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
