Activities within the week
Teresina organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2021, taking into account the annual theme.
20 September
The Urban Hack Teresina 2030 aims to awaken the innovative spirit in the city, encourage discussion on the application of tactical urbanism in Teresina and promote the culture of open data and smart cities for the local implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The hackathon will take place on September 20th, 21st and 22nd, as an in-person event, following all health and safety protocols, and will not be recorded or streamed online. In this event, we will use tactical urbanism as a tool, as its experimental character allows public transport users to test digital and sustainable solutions, aimed at improving the system, before its implementation. Such solutions were chosen through an open innovation process within the pilot project of the Transport Observatory, from the Euroclima+ Program, and are in the development phase. The proposals that will be presented by the participating teams at the end of the event will also be evaluated for their impact on children and their caregivers, given that Teresina is a member of the Urban95 Network, and has been thinking about public policies for early childhood on issues such as mobility, spaces public and data management. The winning tactical urbanism action will take place on October 30th and will be part of the UN-Habitat Urban Circuit.
