Turkey is a country with stray animals and we love them and take care of them as a community! When street becomes more pedestrian friendly and less vehicle friendly, stray animals can be safer. For that reason we need to promote pedestrian friendly streets with the center idea of stray animals. We need to bring attention to this point and the importance of "Adopt, Don't Shop". Due to this reason, a "PetFest" will held on the mobility week, with the idea of "Safer places for everyone". At PetFest, we take easygoing, harmless animals from shelter, wash them, feed them and display them with their background stories. So people can pay attention to their old lives and think about adopting them as their forever home. We will also sell foods, souvenirs and local goods in favor of shelter animals.

One of the main streets of the city will get closed and will only open for pedestrians and zero emission vehicles.
