Mostar organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2022, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
"Moving to Health"
Outdoor fitness training for everyone. We want to celebrate movement, a healthy lifestyle, socializing, and better connections between people, and lighten them about the importance of protecting the environment and air.
Location: playground of the Gymnasium Mostar
17 September
"Moving to Health"
Morning stretching and a running through the City of Mostar for everyone.

"Small school of sports" for kindergarten children
Introducing children to the world of sports and movement and a healthy lifestyle is very important from an early age. It is important to show them how much movement has a positive effect on overall development: psychological, emotional, and physical!
Through the "Small school of sports" for kindergarten children, the Sports Association of the City of Mostar brought sports and move closer to kids through numerous games.
In this way, we also showed them how movement is important for our environment and conveyed the important message to them to move as much as possible!

Kindergarten children, according to their schedule, will gather on the 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22.09. at 09:30 at SC Kantarevac and enjoy exercises and sports activities with their coaches!

"Free Public Transport Day"
All day within the city area, Mostar bus d.o.o. provided free public transport for all.
This action aims to motivate people to use public transport more often and to give importance to public transport as one of the alternatives to using cars in order to influence the reduction of CO2, relieve city congestion, and influence cleaner air and the environment.

Excursion for students of the High School Jurja Dalmatinca with the FBiH Railways on the route Mostar-Čapljina.
In cooperation with High School Jurja Dalmatinac, Department of "Interior Design", children of the first grades of high school learned more about the initiative of "European Mobility Week" and took a train ride on the route Mostar - Čapljina using one of the modes of public transport: the Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal was to bring this kind the public transport closer and to motivate them to protect the environment, air, and their own health by moving more and combining environmentally acceptable ways of transport!

Excursion for everyone to hill Hum.

"Car-Free Day“
"The Second Mostar Bike Ride" („Druga Mostarska biciklijada“) through the streets of the City of Mostar
Location: Nikola Šubić Zrinski Promenade (Lenin's Promenade)

As part of the European Mobility Week, the central event "Car-Free Day" was celebrated by "The Second Mostar Bike Ride".

12:00 - Start of the programme, presentation on Lenin's promenade
17:00 -17: 45 Polygon for Kids and start of tombola/ gathering and registration of participants
17:45 - 18:00 Ceremonial opening and award ceremony for kids (the representative of the Delegation of the EU in Mostar Petar Kraljević, the mayor of the City of Mostar Mario Kordić, the president of SSGM Senad Kevelj)
18:00 - 19:00 Promenade through Mostar (8 kilometers)
19:00 - 19:30 Bicycle race for kids
As part of the bike ride, the streets of the City of Mostar through which the bike ride passes will be temporarily closed.

Car-free day Car-free day

Mostar carries out a Car-Free Day 2022 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The bike ride starts at 6 p.m. and the streets on the route will be temporarily closed for regular vehicle traffic.
Starting and finishing point: Lenin's Promenade (Nikola Šubića Zrinski Street).
Cycling through the streets: along Hrvatske branitelja Street/Bulevar narodne revolucije, Lučki most, Maršala Tita Street, to the former Razvitak department store, Musala Bridge to the roundabout, and
further through Ante Starčevića Street to Hotel Ero, right towards the bridge to the Customs Bridge to the Railway Station, left along Maršala Tita Street towards the roundabout in Zalik, further along, Kralja
Tomislav Street, across the new bridge all the way to the top of Avenija, along Kralja Tomislav Street to Spajalica, from Spajalica along Kralja Petra Krešimir Street, Rondo.
