* Active Mobility Projects – in benefit of sustainable and safe mobility, Mafra promotes the implementation of zones with controlled speed and restricts the movement of heavy vehicles on certain streets. The objective of this is to sensitize our residents to adopt a driving style, not only safe, but with less environmental impact, that is, Eco-Driving;
* New "Navegante" pass – In 2021, the Metropolitano project continues - Single Pass system - Navegante Metropolitano and Navegante Municipal Mafra - with reduced prices, on Public Transport in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML/LMA). the Municipality of Mafra is part of the LMA. The priority of the "Navagente" pass is, among others, the improvement of mobility, the promotion of the use of public transport in order to contribute to environmental sustainability, with the inherent reduction of noise levels and gas emissions;
* Public Transport – In addition to the continuation of the new “Navegante” pass, in 2022 the road transport operation is reinforced through the entry into operation of Carris Metropolitana, whose objective is to increase the service through the availability of more buses and new routes and circulations . Another objective is the renewal and qualification of the fleet, through the reduction of the average age of buses from 15 years to less than one year, and the inclusion of a percentage of clean and energy efficient vehicles, with eco-driving measures, economical driving , safe and comfortable. It is important to note that it is possible to use the different types of navigating pass at Carris.
* School Transport – available for all students residing in the Municipality of Mafra and attending the Basic or the any other level of Education in the Municipality's schools, whose home/school distance exceeds 4 km;
* Municipal fleet – Following the two previous points, it is equally important to mention the use of electric vehicles by the Municipality in its daily services;

* Mafra's Municipal Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change (EMAAC) – Climate change is one of the main threats on a planetary scale, with consequences ranging from the environment to health, including the economy. The main cause of climate variation is the greenhouse effect caused by certain gases in the atmosphere (greenhouse gases, such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4) and Nitrous Oxide (N2O)). With this in mind, the Municipality carefully studies its reality and seeks to apply measures to combat climate change;
* Climate Action Plan (PAC 2030) – The main objective of the PAC 2030 is to make Lisbon “Neutral, resilient and inclusive”, so the plan is composed of a series of goals and objectives that seek to achieve a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. greenhouse effects and are heavily committed to green energy.
