Detailed description (English): Marshal’s Office of the Lodzkie Voivodeship for the first time took active part in the European Mobility Week 2019 encouraging visitors to choose ecological means of transport – bikes and trains!
On 20th, 21st, 22nd of September 2019 we presented on our promotional stand in Skierniewice and Lodz at the railway stations the project „Cycling Lodzkie”, which most important aim is to encourage the inhabitants to change their transport habits and chooose alternative, ecological means of transport by using bikes and travelling by train. Therefore in the project all the biking stations are located nearby train stations. Visitors had an occassion to get to know railway offer in our region as well as ask about hiring bikes. Everyone got promotional leaflets and some gifts.
Furthermore, on the 22nd of September during Car-Free Day Lodz Agglomeration Railway (LAR) organised visiting of the Technical Background for the Lodz and the Lodzkie Region inhabitants.
There were lots of attractions for kids and adults . Visitors had an occassion to get to know, e.g. how much time we wash our trains, what is their weight and see the modern ecological train wash. The Technical Background is equipped with many devices such as lathe, laser wheel measuring station, crane, lifts and sanding station.
Children could visit LAR ecotrailer making some puzzles with prizes and listen about the most interesting places in the Lodzkie Region Landscape Parks.
Moreover, everyone who had this day car registration certificate could travelling by Lodz Agglomeration Railway for free not only visiting Lodzkie Region cities but also Polish capital city Warsaw.
