The building of a mountain-bike trial in Nikšić is finished in September 2013. The activity is the part of the “Enhancement of environmental tourism in the territories of Kraljevo, Nikšić, Niš, Peja-Peć and Shkodër” financed by Italian government through SEENET network. The trial is about 35 km in length, it begins in protected area “Trebjesa”, passing by King Nikola’s Castle, over the Emperor’s Bridge, Damp on Slano Lake and Roman Bridge to downtown. The value of the project for Niksic Municipality is about 122.000 euros, aims at strengthening the skills of local governments in the management of participatory policies for the sustainable development of the territory. The awareness of Niksic community on the value of the territory and the environmental respect and preservation has been increased, and tourist offer too.
