Ridewise Community Cycle Centres at Arkwright Meadows Community Centre and King Edward Park, Sneinton, from 10am. Cycle instructors will be on hand to help you feel more confident and happy on two wheels - and it's free.

Car-free day Car-free day

Nottingham carries out a Car-Free Day 2018 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The council is supporting the British Cycling HSBC UK Let's Ride event on Sunday 16 September.
We’re closing Victoria Embankment to traffic and hosting a street festival for anyone on a bike.
It's free to enter, and you can borrow a bike if you don't have one.
Music, food and drink, fun and games, demos, giveaways, activities, challenges, face painting – it’s all happening.
