ELECTRIC BICYCLE RENTAL

The Municipality will provide electric bicycles which can be used by all citizens throughout the week for their transportation within the Municipality. From the first day a rental point will be set up in the entrance of Baroutadiko Grove, a most frequently visited area of the Municipality, where citizens can schedule an appointment to rent a bicycle and receive information about the context of European Mobility Week and its upcoming activities. To ensure that bicycles are available to as many citizens as possible, there will be a fixed rental time according to their demand. Bicycles will remain available for rent throughout the week from 10:00 until 14:00 and from 17:30 until 22:00. Subsequently, the Municipalit will cater for the creation of several rental spots for over 30 electric bicycles all around the city.

HIDDEN TREASURE GAME FOR CHILDREN

Hidden treasure game is an educational activity aiming at provoking the importance of environmental sensitivity in children. Municipal staff will hide some objects in Baroutadiko Grove, which will offer to whoever finds them a sponsored gift. The process will involve a specific age group and the gifts are adjusted accordingly. The winners will be up to 3 people and the gifts will be distributed according to the priority of finding the items. The event will take place from 11:00 till 13:00 but it will end even earlier if the items will be found.

OPEN STREET VOLLEYBALL COURSE

A prime pillar of European mobility week is to mobilize citizens to get more exercise by getting them to try various sports. Therefore, many activities with a sporting content will take place in this year's project. One of them is the open street volleyball course. There will be a small reference to the sport and its history and then some simple sports movements will be taught with the use of the proper equipment. This event will take place from 18:00 to 20:00.

TRAFFIC EDUCATION WORKSHOP & ORGANIZED WALKS

The development of this event will be carried out through an experiential workshop that will include a blend of activities aimed mostly at children. Apart from the walks in the Baroutadiko Grove, the main event aims at sustainable mobility. The walks will be carried with the support and supervision of the scouts of Egaleo.
In parallel, Muscat Driving School will provide driving lessons to the children attending there, according to signs that will be placed for their better understanding. The Driving School will provide bicycles to the common goal to bring the whole game into an experiential and educational experience. In parallel, different games will be held according to the age levels that will be gathered so that there is the best possible interevent, while the keystone will always be mobility and how it can be included in the everyday live. This event will take place from 09:00 till 13:00 with different groups each time.

The goal is to prove that all people should have equal access to sports, while at the same time highlighting the difficulties faced by these people in their daily lives.
