Trrim-trrim Operation, Mobility Forum, Trips for Trash action, Photographic Marathon, Bike Trials, Bicycle Fair, Premiere of "Bikes vs Cars" movie, "Pedalling Cities" bicycle ride, Mobility Fest, Street animation

Permanent measures Permanent measures

Almada implements, planned or promotes one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc) implemented
Launching of the "Campaign 2+2", which will allow for bicycle users to take their bikes on several public transports, such as the tram, train, ferry and elevator.
Public transport services
Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc) implemented
Introduction of the new "Health Circuit", a public transport service which will connect public transport interfaces with several hospitals and other health centres.
Mobility management
Adoption of school travel plans implemented
Implementation of studies and inquiries with the aim of defining the best and safest school travel itineraries for students.

Car-free day Car-free day

Almada carries out a Car-free day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
