16 September
Inauguration of a cycle lane newly reserved out of a very central and important road; this new link will significantly improve the degree of connection of the cycling network within the inner city area, close to the “limited traffic zone”, from which all motor vehicles (except for some public utility vehicles) are already banned; by the reduction of the lots available for side-street parking, the realization of the new cycle link also contributes to discourage the use of car in the central urban areas;
16 September
Communication activities concerning the bike sharing system, which will be extended from 24 to 36 bicycles available with nine more picking/parking stations; the public bike sharing system implemented in the City of Pordenone is especially intended to promote train-bike, bus-bike and car-bike intermodality, having its picking/parking stations placed closed to the railway station, to the central terminal of the public transport lines and to the main parking areas around the city centre.
