Mayor of Alimos, Andreas Kondylis
It is with great joy and pride that we present the Municipality of Alimos’ program for the European Mobility Week 2025, with the central European theme “Mobility for Everyone” and our city’s motto:
“Alimos – The city that loves mobility.
Together on the road with respect for everyone, rules, and kindness.”
With hard work, love, and collaboration, the Municipality of Alimos has once again created a special program that highlights the importance of equality, respect, and inclusion in public space. Our activities focus on supporting the most vulnerable groups in society, on accessibility, on the proper use of public transportation, and on coexistence on the streets with rules and solidarity.
The European Mobility Week is not just a series of events, but an opportunity to see our city anew through the lens of cooperation and respect. To walk, to cycle, to share public space with understanding, making Alimos a city that unites and inspires.
We invite everyone to participate actively, to bring your children, to try new experiences, and to become part of this great celebration. Together we can make Alimos more humane, safer, and more beautiful for all of us, today and for generations to come.

Car-free day Car-free day

The week concludes with a grand celebration at Karaiskaki Square, free of cars. Young and old will create a collective painting featuring the Decalogue, while students and community groups will perform theatrical acts about kindness on the road. The finale will be marked by the “Alimos Road Promise,” read by the three ambassadors – the Mother, the Student, and the Elder – as a symbolic commitment to the future.
