Som sykkelby oppgraderes en god del av sykkelvegnettet i Alta i år. Her utbedres dekke (asfalten), her ryddes det for bedre sikt (fjerning av busk og kratt), utbedring av krysningspunkt (skråstilte fortauskanter) og oppsett av lyspunkt der dette mangler.
Car-free day
Alta carries out a Car-free day 2011 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
