Alta organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
16.9: * Information and a questionaire about the Public transport in Alta - free waffels to all there will be answering. All happens downtown in the city square.
* Family-bike-quiz - from the city square - to the Public Library.
* Registrer to be a test person in either biking an el-bike - for one week - or Public transport for one month - or both - for free.
* Test an el-bike With us.

18.9 Opening of Heart zone, Elvebakken skole. No cars allowed within the limit during schooltime.

19.9 Competition between car and bikes - who will arrive first? From the universitybuilding to the area Amtmannsnes at 1600.

20.9 Rewards are given to bikers and Walkers near the city area.

21.9 The Library will bike around to Schools and Kindergartens - delivering books.

22.9 Rewards are given to bikers and Walkers, near the Bossekop area. The Library invites Kindergartens to story time. Those who walk or travel by bus will get cocoa and buns.

Car-free day Car-free day

Alta carries out a Car-free day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
