Funchal organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The activities planned for this year´s edition will range from an exhibition entitled "Moving in the Right Direction", whose focus is the CIVITAS MIMOSA Project, an European Project aimed towards sustainble mobility; Additionally, the Municipality will carry on an orienteering campaign to promote pedestrian mobility. Leaflets and pamphlets will also be given out to citizens.

The permanent measure to be implemented this year refers to a deployment of a traffic light system in an avenue located in the city centre. Also, the official sign of mobility protocols between the Municipality and Regional entities directly related to traffic and mobility will also take place during Mobility Week. Finally, the Mobile system, an application that provides traffic data to citizens will also be launched during the Mobility Week.
