Turku organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2023, taking into account the annual theme.

Social media campaign which will highlight different e-mobility services and versatile mobility chains which help the citizens be more sustainable in the their daily movement and to leave the car at home.

Turku Day, during which the city will showcase its activities and services related to sustainable mobility.

Turku implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)

As stated above the focus of the 2023 mobility week for Turku is to raise awareness on e-mobility as a substitute for use of cars, especially cars with internal combustion engines. The focus will be on the measures already implemented i the city, especially realted to the improvements of bicycle infrastructure and new ways of reducing the need to use cars in the city.
