Ramnicu Valcea organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2022, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Change the PET with the ticket! in partnership with Act for Tomorrow and Kaufland Romania. Citizens will bring 5 PET packaging (or 5 glasses,) and will receive in exchange a bus ticket, from the city's transport public operator.
Traffic Snake Game - children aged 6 to 10 will go to school by bus, by foot, by bicycle in order to promote sustainable transportation in town and reduce the CO2 emissions.
First meeting between the public administration and the civil society (Valcea Community Foundation) for a project that promotes the 5 cohesion policy objectives among the local community, especially the objective no2, a greener, low carbon transitioning towards a net zero carbon economy. The projects receives technical assistance from OECD and aims a better collaboration between the local authority and the civil society while encouraging the citizens to support greener projects and to pollute less, by using the public transportation.

The local authority will promote the Car Free Day among the citizens by closing the main artery, "Calea lui Traian"street , who will become pedestrian. Children and adults will have the opportunity to walk or go by bicycle and take part, late in the evening, at the "Romanian Music Awards", the most important music event in Romania.
