Zagreb (City of Zagreb) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2007, taking into account the annual theme.

European Mobility Week: Follow all criteria of the European Charter
"In town, without my car!": Follow all criteria of the European Charter

1. Presentation of new green areas in the busy city centre (the Bundek Lake)
2. Presentation of 17 children’s playgrounds which promote the integration of children with developmental difficulties by playground equipment adjusted to their needs. Some playgrounds also have equipment for elderly people.
3. Presentation of a newly built bicycle track in the city centre where a bicycle race will be organised.
4. Promotion of the bicycle as a desirable means of transport through education of children in nurseries and organisation of bicycle races.
5. Promotion of the project of providing safety for pedestrians by the installation of safety posts on pavements.
6. Presentation of public transport in line with universal design elements – low-floor buses and low-floor trams that are original Croatian products.
7. Presentation of public transport vehicles which use bio-diesel fuel.
8. Presentation of all public areas and constructions built in the course of the year with the aim of improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups of citizens.
9. Presentation of new parking lots for bicycles.
10. Presentation of the initiative for establishing a network of Croatian cities for sustainable mobility.
