Alghero organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2010, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The local authority will promote a series of actions on sustainable mobility in schools:
- the Piedibus (walking to school)
- the School Way
- the moments of confrontation with the organization of Forum "governace policies for sustainable mobility. Comparing experiences"
- the Ecological cycling
- promoting the use of public transport.

The Municipal administration diAalghero sensitive to environmental issues and in line with the programmatic objectives of the Municipal Strategic Plan, Action Plan and Local Agenda 21 Plan of the Urban Cycle Network, is developing the following projects:
- The cycle and hiking trail connecting the downtown to Fertilia;
- Bike sharing;
- Rural routes with horse trails;
- A portal of tourist infomobility www.algheromobility.it.che networking the various realities of sustainable mobility.

Alghero carries out a Car-free day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
