Alghero organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2013, taking into account the annual theme.

Il comune di Alghero aderisce alla settimana europea della mobilità sostenibile da 6 anni consecutivi ed è stata la prima città della Sardegna ad aderirvi. Per la grande importanza della manifestazione e della grande partecipazione ai diversi eventi, si è inserita nel PAES del Patto dei sindaci per promuovere la mobilità alternativa tesa alla riduzione della CO2 del 20 % entro il 2020.
Durante la settimana si organizzeranno una serie di attività ludico didattiche tese alla sensibilizzaione e informazione del ruolo importante che ha il cittadino in merito alla mobilità.

Da anni il comune di Alghero per l'amenità del paesaggio e del facile accesso delle spiagge, previo piano delle piste ciclabili, sta realizzando la pista ciclabile che si estende dal colle del Balaguer, a sud della città alla borgata di Fertilia.
1. sarà ultimato il tratto che collega la via Lido
2. sarà inaugurata una nuova linea del Piedibus "San Giovanni Lido" in sinergia con l'Istituto Comprensivo n.1 di Alghero
3. sarà realizzato un sistema di bike sharing

Alghero carries out a Car-free day 2013 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
