The Municipality of Alghero, in line with the policy objectives of the Strategic Plan and the Local Action Plan for Agenda 21, aimed at sustainable mobility, is building bicycle paths, actions aimed at security as intelligent traffic lights, speakers speed zones atraffico limited, pedestrian areas, activation of the bike sharing and communication activities and awareness.

Alghero carries out a Car-free day 2011 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
