Östersund (City of Östersund) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2010, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Different activities during the week, with two half day workshops/seminars about the climate and about biogas. A updated version of a cycle map will be presented, How easy can you see your bike in the evening. Enviromental breakfeast about biking and electric bikes. An information meeting about electric cars. Information activities at bilprovningen. Traininforamtion for companies.

On Saturday we have different campaigns for example: with music on bus stops, information about trains, political debate, time test to compare bike, electric bike and car. Bike excursion to the island Andersön. Bus roundtrip with technical visits.

Disabled facilities at the bus stops has become better. Wider pavement on Mariaväen. Törstenssgränd makes it easier for disabled people. Lightning on bike lanes and pavements are focused for bikes and walkers and not for cars. One crossing has got extra lightning. A speed study is on it´s way which will result in decreased speed limits.

Östersund (City of Östersund) carries out a Car-free day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
