Further info
During september, a new bicycling and walking trail in a beautiful lakesida area will be completed. The trail connects a newly built dwelling area, Gäddeholm, with the city of Västerås. Gäddeholm is a lovely place for a weekend excursion on foot or by bike. The trail offers beautiful sceneries and a variety of wild birds. In Gäddeholm there is a café and a farm open to the public.
The accessibility measures in our pedestrian road network continue through 2010. We work through one residential area at a time, making improvements for elderly and disabled people.
In the project "Gå-city", which means "city for pedestrians", we repave, remodel and improve the pedestrian areas in the commercial city. The project started during the summer and will continue until 2011.
