The design and implementation of permanent measures to promote sustainable mobility in Larnaka, is an ongoing process. The major works that are currently being constructed include bicycle lanes and pedestrianized areas, according to Larnaka Municipality's Sustainable Mobility Strategy and Policies.
In addition to the above, due to Larnaka Municipality's commitment to improve quality of life and of the environment, sustainable mobility measures are foreseen and designed for every work done in the city.
Car-free day
Larnaka (Λάρνακα)
carries out a Car-free day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
