Celebrating shared spaces!
On the 20th of September, we celebrate shared spaces!
Larnaka Municipality, invites pupils from Local Elementary School to visit the Zouchouri Square, a new plaza, that was inaugurated a year ago.
What used to be a random parking place and home to air and soil polluting activities, has been transformed into a beautiful family place. Zouchouri square is a few meters away from the New Municipal Market, a place that combines tradition with modern gastronomical and other experiences. It also has a new parking place which is very strictly regulated; minimum parking time for an increased fare.
The pupils are invited to use their imagination and create the sustainable vehicles of the future and apply them on the city of the future. On the 20th of September, Zouchouri square turns into a creativity hub, under the guidance of YouthMakerSpace and the Larnaca Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth. Cyprus Police Force will be on site to introduce to the children the safety regulations and basic information on maintaining a bicycle.
Memorabilia and several treats will be offered to the participants.
