Permanent measures include the initiation of the construction of a large square in the city center, the reallocation of road space in favor of cycling (cycling lanes), regular closure of certain streets during weekends, etc.
Other measures that were announced during EMW of previous years, continue to be applied and strengthened.
Car-free day
Larnaka (Λάρνακα)
carries out a Car-free day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
