Detailed description (English): In our educational center, the Xograr Afonso Gómez Public Secondary Education Institute in Sarria (Lugo-Spain), we have been promoting sustainable mobility for years, these last four years through a specific innovation program on sustainable and safe mobility. We have also participated in the latest editions of the SEM. Specifically to commemorate SEM 2024 we have carried out many activities, for this we have the involvement of the city council, the Civil Guard, the General Directorate of Traffic, with the Galician Cycling Federation, a local cycling club, entities that work on accident prevention, a association that works for inclusion and also with other educational centers.
Our intention is to raise awareness among citizens about the improvement that we can bring about in our city if we maintain sustainable mobility habits and if we are responsible users of public roads.
We intend that our students be the driving force that causes the change towards active mobility and that our actions go beyond the walls of the center, for that we have exposed in the public school and in the city center the results obtained in an air pollution study carried out during the last two years. We have restarted the institute's bicycle loan system for the third consecutive year and we continue to train students in Road Safety Education.
We have made students aware of shared space, emphasizing respect for parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility. We have also carried out recreational activities to empathize with the accessibility of the cities.
We go on to detail the activities
