Detailed description (English): The Provincial Council of Cadiz has initiated an ambitious project aimed at promoting sustainable mobility among its employees. This initiative involves the creation and implementation of Sustainable Mobility Plans to Work (PMST) for all activity centres with 50 or more employees. The aim is to optimise transport systems, reduce environmental impact and improve the quality of life of employees through efficient and environmentally friendly travel solutions.
Background:
In response to the recently approved Sustainable Mobility Law, which requires public sector entities to develop mobility plans for work centres with more than 500 employees, the Provincial Council of Cadiz has proactively decided to extend this requirement to centres with 50 or more employees. This initiative is in line with the broader objectives of Spain's Recovery Plan and the environmental objectives of the European Commission.
The project is led by the Provincial Energy Agency of Cadiz (APEC), which has extensive experience in promoting sustainable urban mobility through various initiatives. Using the methodology described by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Savings (IDAE), this project aims to create mobility solutions adapted to each center.
Detailed description (original language): La Diputación Provincial de Cádiz ha iniciado un ambicioso proyecto destinado a promover la movilidad sostenible entre sus empleados. Esta iniciativa implica la creación e implementación de Planes de Movilidad Sostenible al Trabajo (PMST) para todos los centros de actividad con 50 o más empleados. El objetivo es optimizar los sistemas de transporte, reducir el impacto ambiental y mejorar la calidad de vida de los empleados mediante soluciones de viaje eficientes y ecológicas.
Antecedentes:
En respuesta a la recientemente aprobada Ley de Movilidad Sostenible, que obliga a las entidades del sector público a desarrollar planes de movilidad para centros de trabajo con más de 500 empleados, la Diputación Provincial de Cádiz ha decidido proactivamente extender este requisito a centros con 50 o más empleados. Esta iniciativa está en línea con los objetivos más amplios del Plan de Recuperación de España y los objetivos ambientales de la Comisión Europea.
El proyecto está liderado por la Agencia Provincial de la Energía de Cádiz (APEC), que tiene una amplia experiencia en la promoción de la movilidad urbana sostenible a través de diversas iniciativas. Utilizando la metodología descrita por el Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía (IDAE), este proyecto pretende crear soluciones de movilidad adaptadas a cada centro.
