Detailed description (English): Cívica Software is a technology company based in Granada (Spain). The company has 250 employees, about 150 of whom are based in Granada and the rest in different cities. This action plan focuses on the city of Granada. Cívica’s headquarters are located in an office building located in the city. After conducting a preliminary study of the variables influencing commutes to Cívica’s headquarters, one of the findings indicates that 47% of employees live in the city of Granada, another 47% live within 30 km, and 6% live more than 30 km away.
The actions being implemented are:
1. Promotion of remote or hybrid work: Providing the necessary tools to work from home, eliminating the need to commute to the office.
2. Flexible hours, intensive workdays, and an office kitchen/dining area: This measure ensures that those who need to commute to the office only make one round trip, avoiding extra commutes for reasons related to work-life balance or meals.
3. Informational plans about public transportation: Collecting and providing employees with information on the available public transportation options.
4. Requesting improvements in public transportation: Negotiating with the local authorities to establish a bus line and stop in front of the office building.
5. Secure parking for PMVs: An exclusive, access-controlled parking area has been provided for employees to park their PMVs.
6. Sustainable long-distance travel: For long-distance travel, the use of low-emission collective transportation, preferably trains, is prioritized.
7. A corporate communication channel for carpooling.
