Detailed description (English): "Get your bike ready with MUGI" is a travelling awareness-raising campaign organized by the Department of Mobility, Tourism and Territorial Planning of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, in collaboration with the Gipuzkoa Transport Authority (ATTG), as part of the European Mobility Week.
From 15 to 24 September, a mobile bicycle repair van will visit 20 municipalities across Gipuzkoa to provide free basic bike repairs to citizens who show their personalised MUGI card.
In addition to promoting cycling as a healthy and sustainable means of transport, this initiative also encourages the use of public transport. ATTG staff will provide guidance to those interested in applying for the MUGI card, which offers benefits such as free transfers, capped fares, discounts, and free travel for children under 15.
Participants can also enter a prize draw to win one of two bicycles or 60 MUGI card top-ups worth €20 each.
This year, the initiative includes new municipalities and for the first time will also visit a school in Donostia, thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Diversity, Inclusion and Environment of the city council.
