Detailed description (English): FPEmpresa, in collaboration with Innogestiona, is leading the implementation of the European project ENNEPlus – Strengthening National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Networks through Eco-innovation, funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
Launched in January 2024 with a duration of 36 months, the project aims to enhance the capacity of VET centres to contribute to the sustainable transformation of their local communities through networking, capacity building, and challenge-based activities focused on eco-innovation.
Within ENNEPlus, the Eco-Digithon Spain is organised as an educational marathon where VET centres design and prototype innovative digital and technological solutions to tackle real environmental and social issues. These solutions must align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring a global perspective on local challenges.
The initiative promotes a participatory and multidisciplinary approach, engaging not only students and teachers but also companies, policymakers, academics, and civil society representatives.
As Spanish partners of the project, FPEmpresa and Innogestiona will select the participating centres and support them through training, mentoring, and co-design processes, culminating in the National Eco-Digithon to be held in Madrid in March 2026.
In addition, the selected teams will gain access to the ENNEPlus Community of Practice, benefiting from training sessions, mentoring, and open educational resources. The best projects will be awarded with educational materials, recognition, and the chance to participate in European events.
