Detailed description (English): The celebration of World Bicycle Day in El Palau d'Anglesola was an inclusive and intergenerational mobility action designed to promote sustainable transport, accessibility, and community cohesion. Participants were invited to join the route using bicycles, scooters, wheelchairs, tricycles, or any other non-motorised mobility device. Volunteers were also encouraged to accompany people in wheelchairs.
The event began with students and teachers departing from the local school. The first stop was at the elderly residence Ca la Cileta, where children interacted with the elderly through shared activities, fostering intergenerational bonds. The route continued to the Parc dels Drets de la Infància, where a collective activity was organised around children's rights and the importance of active mobility. The final destination was the hermitage of Sant Roc, where the event concluded with a closing activity and community gathering.
This mobility action celebrated the freedom, accessibility and health benefits of active transport while promoting empathy, inclusion and environmental responsibility.
Detailed description (original language): La celebració del Dia Mundial de la Bicicleta a El Palau d’Anglesola va ser una acció de mobilitat inclusiva i intergeneracional per promoure el transport sostenible, l’accessibilitat i la cohesió social. Es va convidar tothom a participar utilitzant bicicleta, patinet, cadira de rodes, tricicle o qualsevol altre mitjà de mobilitat no motoritzat. També es va oferir la possibilitat de fer de voluntari/a per acompanyar persones en cadira de rodes.
La ruta va començar amb la sortida dels alumnes i mestres des de l’escola. La primera parada va ser a la residència de gent gran Ca la Cileta, on els nens i nenes van compartir activitats amb els avis i àvies, promovent el vincle entre generacions. La ruta va continuar cap al Parc dels Drets de la Infància, on es va fer una activitat conjunta sobre els drets dels infants i la mobilitat activa. Finalment, es va arribar a l’ermita de Sant Roc, on es va celebrar l’acte de cloenda i una trobada comunitària.
Aquesta acció va posar en valor la llibertat, l’accessibilitat i els beneficis per a la salut del transport actiu, alhora que va fomentar l’empatia, la inclusió i la responsabilitat ambiental.
