Detailed description (English): A campaign managed by ConBici, the bike-friendly and mobility platform, we will analyze the aire quality around the school twice, to compare the quality in the weekend and another one in the weekday. The objective is to compare the pollution both days around the José Sebastián y Bandarán scholl located in Seville, Andalusia.
ConBici, through its Health and Environment Area, proposes once again to carry out the joint action of measuring air pollution ‘Al Cole sin Humos’. This initiative is supported by the methodology developed within the framework of the citizen science project Cycling withClean Air ConBici is committed to protecting children's health by creating safe and healthy school environments. That is why we have chosen again to collaborate with the local volunteer groups, schools and AMPAS of their cities to make visible the importance of promoting an active, healthy and sustainable mobility.
The action will be developed simultaneously in several Spanish cities with the involvement of volunteer groups participating in the citizen science project Cycling with Clean Air and educational communities interested in joining the action. The local volunteers will support the schools and ConBici will support volunteers by offering them the technical support to measure air pollution while traveling to school, training activities and for the communication of the action. This year, ConBici will also provide groups with materials to carry out awareness-raising activities in schools.
Detailed description (original language): Se trata de una campaña de medición del aire gestionada por ConBici, la plataforma por la movilidad sostenible y la bicicleta, en la que se comparará la calidad del aire dos veces, un día de fin de semana y otro entre semana, con el fin de contrastar la contaminación alrededor del CEIP José Sebastián y Bandarán de Sevilla, Andalucía.
ConBici, a través de su Área de Salud y Medio Ambiente, propone una vez más llevar a cabo la acción conjunta de medición de la contaminación atmosférica «Al Cole sin Humos». Esta iniciativa se basa en la metodología desarrollada en el marco del proyecto de ciencia ciudadana «Ciclismo con Aire Limpio». ConBici se compromete a proteger la salud infantil mediante la creación de entornos escolares seguros y saludables. Por ello, hemos optado por colaborar de nuevo con los grupos de voluntarios locales, los colegios y las AMPAS de sus ciudades para visibilizar la importancia de promover una movilidad activa, saludable y sostenible.
La acción se desarrollará simultáneamente en varias ciudades con la participación de los grupos de voluntarios que participan en el proyecto de ciencia ciudadana «Ciclismo con Aire Limpio» y de las comunidades educativas interesadas en unirse a la acción. Los voluntarios locales apoyarán a los colegios y ConBici apoyará a los voluntarios ofreciéndoles apoyo técnico para medir la contaminación atmosférica durante sus desplazamientos, actividades formativas y para la comunicación de la acción.
Target group(s): Volunteers involved in the citizen science project Cycling with Clean Air Educational communities: students, teachers, mothers, fathers and staff working in the school located in Seville, Andalusia.
Objectives: Raise awareness among families about the importance of sustainable mobility by demonstrating what their children breathe when they pick them up or drop them off at school.
Partner: ConBici and A Contramano, both are associations. The first one is a platform/federation and the second one is the local group in Seville. We'll be 17 associations in another cities.
