Detailed description (English): This activity is done in first and second grade. First, we talk with the students about how they get to school: walking, biking, taking the bus, taking the subway, or driving.
First-grade students do a shadow theater activity based on an adaptation of the Little Red Riding Hood story, related to sustainable transportation.
Second-grade students do the "Postcards from the World" activity. This is a reading activity where they learn about different children around the world and how they get to school. They then do a writing activity, where they explain how they get to school.
