Detailed description (English): Conference organised by the Economic and Social Forum of La Laguna (Tenerife-Canary Islands-Spain) to analyse the present and future of mobility in island areas.
We will be joined by leading experts who will attempt to analyse mobility, taking into account the problems currently faced by an island such as Tenerife, where high population density, a large number of cars and limited roads require a new model that is efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Detailed description (original language): Jornada organizada por el Foro Económico y Social de La Laguna (Tenerife-Islas Canarias-España) para analizar el presente y futuro de la movilidad en espacios insulares.
Contaremos con expertos de primer nivel que intentarán analizar la movilidad teniendo en cuenta los problemas con los que cuenta actualmente una isla como Tenerife, donde la alta densidad de población, el alto número de coches y unas vías limitadas, requiere un nuevo modelo eficiente, sostenible y respetuoso con el medio ambiente.
Target group(s): This conference is aimed at the general public, policy makers, mobility experts, and anyone interested in improving mobility systems.
Objectives: Seek short-, medium- and long-term solutions to improve mobility on the island of Tenerife, giving priority to the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
